Stamp Use & Care
How do I re-ink my stamp?
To re-ink your stamp:
- Place the stamp upside down, resting it on the handle.
- Remove the cap so the stamp design is visible.
- Add a few drops of ink directly onto the stamp design, covering it evenly.
- Allow the ink to absorb for about 20 minutes.
- Make a few test impressions on scrap paper to remove any excess ink.
Your stamp is ready to use again!
How do I know when my stamp needs more ink?
If the impression becomes lighter, uneven, or less crisp, it is probably time to add ink.
Start with only a few drops and allow them to absorb completely before checking the result.
How many impressions can I make before re-inking my stamp?
A stamp can generally make about 150 impressions before it needs to be re-inked. This may vary slightly depending on the pressure applied and the surface being stamped.
How many times can I refill my stamp with one bottle of ink?
One bottle of ink provides approximately 20 refills, depending on how much ink is used each time.
What should I do if I add too much ink?
Make several impressions on scrap paper until the result is clean and even.
Avoid wiping or rubbing the stamp design directly, as this could damage it.
Can I change the ink colour in my stamp?
It is best to continue using the same ink colour. Mixing two colours can create a different shade or a less even result.
If you want to switch completely to another colour, we generally recommend using a different stamp.
What kind of ink should I use?
We recommend using the stamp ink sold in our shop. Ink that is not designed for this type of stamp may not absorb properly, may dry too quickly, or could damage the stamp.
How should I store my stamp?
Always replace the cap after use and store the stamp in a dry place away from heat and direct sunlight.
This helps prevent the ink from drying out prematurely.
What surfaces can I use my stamp on?
Our stamps are primarily designed for paper and uncoated cardstock.
On smooth, laminated, or glossy surfaces, the ink may take longer to dry or may rub off.
